In Riga Since 2009

Debut album “Someone like you” (2013) and second album “So Good” (2014) are directed towards electrojazz, lounge, soulful, deep and house music. A producer and a good friend of project is Andrey Emelyanov, expert in this style of music, who worked on these albums jointly with Soulful duo. Debut album was supported by Scandinavian company “Scania” and second album was supported by friends from restaurants “B-bārs”, “Garāža”, “Eksports”.
Third album “All About You” (2016) was produced by Soulful duo, mastered by Andrey Emelyanov and supported by “Ehrle Latvia” and “Ošukalns”.
In summer 2018 Soulful duo started its residency at “Nikki Beach Costa Smeralda Restaurant & Beach Club”, “Nikki Beach Pop Up Bar – Lounge Porto Cervo Waterfront”, Twiga Monaco, Rolex Yacht Show Sardinia, Dom Perignon party, Cartier fashion show, Billionaire club Porto Cervo.

About DJ UVIS
Being a music lover and having a passion for collecting and following to all kinds of music he started DJing in Riga since 2003. “DJ skills acquired by self-study and knowledge gained from other DJ’s all around the world which resulted in my style”.
1st residency – restaurant and club “Kalku varti” playing different styles of music.
“This opportunity broadened my view of the music”.
2nd residency – present – restaurant and bar “B-bārs”.
“Being DJ in these places + other clubs, restaurants and private events mark my DJ’s style of music and give me a direction for music I want to follow and feel better. Great experience to play along with live instruments – musicians that make creative DJing”.

About Saxophonist JANIS DANEVICS
Musician, Producer, Manager.
Studied at the University of Music in Freiburg. Improved his skills as a saxophone player, music producer and manager.
Studied at Deniss Paskevics private jazz and pop school “Performing Art School”. During the studies he improved producer skills and had
internship at the recording studio “Soundvision”.
Studied with jazz master Jerry Bergonzy in Cadiz (Spain), where private master studies are annually held for 2 months.
“It was a great opportunity to learn from excellent jazz personality who has performed with world class musicians: Dave Brubeck, Billy Hart, Mike Sterns, Dave Santoro and others. Jerry Bergonzy is working also as a teacher at Boston’s “New England Concervartory of Music”.
Studies at Rīgas Izglītības un vadības akadēmija (Riga Education and Management Academy), Pop and jazz section.
Since 2006 – taking part in different master classes and festivals like: Saxophonia, Saulkrasti Jazz festival, Rīgas Ritmi, Nomme Jazz, Music and Arts festivals.
1st saxophonist in the Baltics who ambassador a 3D print mouthpiece from Syosmusic made in France.
Cooperation with Yanagisawa where Janis Danevics is the artist of this saxophone brand and promotes it in Northern Europe and the Baltic states.
“By experimenting and searching for the best music style where I could prove myself and show it to others, has led to learning different music styles, such as contemporary jazz, soul, blues”.
